Comments on Recommendation The structure of the IEEE is incredibly complex, with sections, societies, communities, affinity groups, councils and many other organizational distinctions. Very few members understand all of these things. There have been efforts to add clarity to this through various web efforts, but it is still very difficult for members to understand what the IEEE does, and who does it.
